1. Introduction

VolleyEngine Pro ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered volleyball training app for players, coaches, parents, and team followers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your privacy matters, and we designed VolleyEngine Pro to process your training video analysis on your device — not on our servers.

By downloading, accessing, or using VolleyEngine Pro, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Information We Collect

a) Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see your password in plain text), along with the name and role (player, coach, parent, or follower) you provide in your profile.

b) Team and roster information

If you are a coach or team member, we process team names, rosters, player names, jersey numbers, positions, schedules, events, and team communication (chat messages, announcements, forms) that you and your team enter into the app. Coach-entered finance and payment-tracking records are stored only to display them back to authorized team staff.

c) Training and performance data

The app's AI hit detection uses your device camera to perform real-time pose and ball tracking on your device. This video is analyzed locally and is not uploaded to our servers. Only the resulting training metrics (e.g., swing counts, hit quality scores, session summaries) that the app saves to your performance history are stored in your account. If you choose to save screen recordings, they are stored in your device's photo library at your direction.

d) Device and technical information

We collect basic device and technical information necessary to operate the service, including your Firebase user identifier, app version, and — if you enable notifications — a push notification token used to deliver team chat, event, and schedule notifications.

e) Information you send us

If you contact us by email (support@volleyenginepro.com), we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and use them only to provide support.

We do not collect: advertising identifiers, precise location history, contacts, health data, browsing history across other apps or websites, or any data for advertising or tracking purposes.

3. Device Permissions and On-Device Processing

VolleyEngine Pro requests the following iOS permissions only when a feature needs them. You can grant or revoke each permission at any time in iOS Settings:

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely;
• Store and sync your team's rosters, schedules, practices, events, and communications across your team's devices;
• Save and display your training and performance history;
• Deliver push notifications for chat, events, and schedule changes;
• Process subscriptions and manage plan access;
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• Maintain the security, integrity, and availability of the service;
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

We use the following service providers to operate VolleyEngine Pro. They process data only on our instructions:

6. Information Visible to Your Team

VolleyEngine Pro is a team product: information you add to a team (e.g., your player profile, chat messages, availability, and performance stats for players on that team) is visible to the authorized members of that team as configured by the coach. Sensitive by design: coach-only evaluations (grades, notes, and ratings) are never visible to players, and parent contact details are never shared on team lists beyond what the coach enters. You should not share information in team chat or profiles that you do not want your team to see.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Coach plans and other premium features are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store. All billing, payment card data, and refund processing are handled by Apple under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Apple's privacy policy. We receive only a non-identifying confirmation of subscription status so the app can unlock the features you paid for.

8. Children's Privacy

VolleyEngine Pro is intended for volleyball players, coaches, and families, including school-age athletes, and is designed to be used under the supervision of a team coach, club, or parent.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
• Where a child under 13 uses the app, we expect and encourage a parent, guardian, or coach to create and manage the account on the child's behalf.
• Parents and guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information without their consent may contact us at support@volleyenginepro.com, and we will promptly delete the child's account and associated personal information.
• Camera and microphone data used for training analysis is processed entirely on the child's device and is never uploaded.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service:

• Account, team, and performance data are retained while your account is active.
• When you request account deletion, we delete your account credentials, profile, and associated personal data from our production systems, except where we must retain limited data for legal, security, or financial record-keeping purposes.
• You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing support@volleyenginepro.com from the email address associated with your account. We will process verified requests within 30 days.
• You can also delete individual content (chat messages, events, recordings) directly within the app.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Delete your account and personal information;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Receive your data in a portable format;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g., notifications or device permissions).

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" mechanism. To exercise any right, contact us at support@volleyenginepro.com. You may also manage device permissions and notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

11. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport (TLS) for all data in transit, Firebase security rules that restrict access to authorized team members only, and strict access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (Google Firebase/Google Cloud) may process and store data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Google's EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal data from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
